Role Overview:
The Trading Systems Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining the trading infrastructure that supports algorithmic and high-frequency trading strategies. You will collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and IT teams to develop and deploy robust, high-performance systems that execute trades efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Development:
- Design, develop, and optimize trading systems for real-time execution.
- Implement low-latency, high-frequency systems that can handle large volumes of data and trades.
- Develop monitoring tools and dashboards for real-time performance tracking.
- Integration & Automation:
- Integrate trading algorithms with various brokers, exchanges, and data providers.
- Automate key processes such as order routing, trade execution, and risk monitoring.
- Ensure system scalability and robustness to handle peak market conditions.
- Performance Optimization:
- Identify and address bottlenecks in system performance, improving latency and throughput.
- Implement failover mechanisms and redundancy for critical trading infrastructure.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the quantitative and trading teams to ensure seamless integration of strategies into the trading system.
- Support traders and researchers by developing tools that enhance trading performance.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong programming skills in C++, Python, Java, or other languages suitable for low-latency system development.
- Experience with multi-threaded, high-performance system design.
- Understanding of network protocols, messaging systems, and market data feeds.
- Knowledge of algorithmic trading, market microstructure, and financial instruments.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with FIX protocol and API integration with exchanges and brokers.
- Familiarity with cloud-based trading infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
